From February to July 1858, the Virgin Mary appears 18 times to Bernadette Soubirous, a simple 14 years old girl, in the Cave of Lourdes, in South of France. Many people do not believe the girl, some even think her insane. But her innocence, sincerity, and perseverance quickly convince them. Visitors arrive, miraculous cures begin, and the city and its people are transformed. Today, Lourdes is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in the world with more than 6 millions visitors every year.
The girl is now remembered as... Saint Bernadette of Lourdes.
